Dr. Mims grew up in Raleigh where she attended Ravenscroft for high school. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University (Bachelor of Science in Social Policy) and attended Brody School of Medicine at ECU for medical school. She completed her residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Before joining Pediatric Partners, she practiced for 7 years with Raleigh Children and Adolescents’ Medicine.
Dr. Mims loves connecting with patients and their families, no matter their stage of life. Being a part of their lives as they navigate various challenges and phases of development is such a privilege. She has particular interests in nutrition, mental health and developmental disorders.
When outside of the office, Dr. Mims enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Ayla and Annie. They love going on hikes and exploring different parks in Raleigh in addition to attending concerts. She also has a passion for anything related to theater or musicals!
