Verity was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and later moved to California at the age of 13. She graduated from Orange County High School of the Arts. She always wanted to work closely with mothers and babies and began her career as a doula in 2011, after moving to Arizona with her husband. She then worked as a Community Health Worker doing home visits, offering support, education and resources for pregnant and new moms. It was this work, as well as the birth of her first son, that ignited a passion for lactation support. She first trained as a Certified Lactation Consultant in 2015 and later qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Over the last 8 years she has had the privilege of serving breastfeeding families both in a clinic setting and a hospital setting, including NICU care.
In August 2021, Verity moved from Flagstaff, AZ to Cary, NC with her husband, Vince, and two sons, Finley and James. Verity loves playing outdoors with her boys, riding bikes and going for walks at the beautiful parks in the triangle area, and getting to the beach as often as possible. It is a joy to serve the breastfeeding families at Pediatric Partners!
